I don’t get it. I know there’s a book called Black Beauty who’s a horse, but somehow I don’t think that’s what this is about. Is it a British thing? I’m from Canada.

I used to live in Canada (Montreal to be precise) for three years. Really beautiful place – especially the shed loads of snow. But what is this cartoon about? You’re right, it’s probably not about Anna Sewell’s equine classic. I’ve left it a bit vague since it can allude to a number of unusual things which people are into behind closed doors. If you’re going to try to talk to people, especially strangers on a doorstep, you have to be prepared for the most unexpected and esoteric interests. And always in love, never judgement, of course.
